April Arts & Crafts Project

You are going to have to read thru to the end to figure out what it is I am actually making. But you'll probably guess wayyy before the end. LOL. I am going to go thru it step by step with pictures in case anyone else would like to do it. I had 99% of the items laying around my house so I'm assuming you will too!

Items needed:
Broken or old lamp {no need for the shade}, fabric, an old picture frame, super glue & spray paint {the item I don't have }.

Step 1:
Remove all wiring, lamp shade, light bulb, etc.
Step 2:
Cut fabric to the size of your frame.

Step 3:
Place your cut fabric into the frame {using glue if needed}.

Step 4:
So now you have the base and top to your new SIDE TABLE! =)

Side Note:
I actually opted for a smaller frame because my base was smaller than a standard lamp. But use whatever size you want!

Step 5:
Optional: If you don't like the current color of your base, spray paint it! I'm going with either a dark brown or light beige, not quite sure yet. Either way it'll match the neutral earthy colors of my house.

Step 6:
Super glue your frame to the top of your lamp base. {You may need to remove the backside of the frame like I did}

Finally:
Find a place for your table and enjoy it! <3 I'll add a pic of my complete project after I spray paint it. My table is pretty tiny so it'll just be used for decorative purposes near the front door. I just need to find a tiny decorative item to place on top to complete it. eBay here I come! ;)

Got this idea off another blog...I'm not THAT creative although I did give it my own twist!
